Today marks the fifteenth anniversary of the Virtual-On series. On November 27th of 1995, Sega released the original Virtual-On in arcades, unleashing quite possibly one of the best mecha games of our time (only to one-up themselves with VOOT ). Here's to the next 15 years!

So far, they haven't hung it up yet. However, Akihibara Gigo is now the current resting spot for the human-sized Temjin 747J.


Also, according to this blog, that arcade's actually been host to a number of Force tournaments since late 2009, so it's no stranger to Virtual-On festivities.

Lol, that Temjin beat out that HY2M 1/12 Gundam Bandai released a while ago by a few years (although the Zaku II they released before that came out at least a year before big Temjin's first public apperance.

Yes that is the actual size. And it cost 68k Yen (800~USD).
